Last week Donald Trump, in his own estimation, succeeded in replacing what he claimed to be the "worst trade deal in history" with what he claims was "the best trade deal in history." If true, this would not only make good on one of his central campaign promises, but it would be a genuinely significant development. In reality, the unveiling of the United States-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) trade deal is just the latest iteration of the President's talent for branding. As is the case in other aspects of the president's view of economic matters, the difference between then and now is almost purely semantic.
Have you heard about the Everything Bubble? Some analysts believe that after the dot-com bubble of the 1990s and the housing bubble of the 2000s, we are in the middle of a price bubble in virtually all asset classes simultaneously caused by the Fed’s unusually easy monetary policy with ultra low interest rates. Although we agree that the US central bank maintained federal funds rate too low for too long, the narrative about a dangerous bubble inflating in a wide variety of countries, industries, and assets does not make sense. The bubble means that the price of an asset deviates from the fundamental value, increasing excessively, to a much greater extent than on other markets. It should be now clear that the existence of overvalued assets necessarily means that other assets are undervalued, so there can’t be the ‘everything bubble’. Sorry, but those who wait for the total asset apocalypse might be disappointed.
This is consistent with a J.P. Morgan Asset Management report published in 2016, "Staying Invested During Volatile Markets," which found that around 60% of the biggest single-day percentage gains in the S&P 500 occurred within two weeks of one of its top-10 largest percentage declines between 1995 and 2014. This means even if you're lucky enough to hit the nail on the head once in a while, no one has the foresight to correctly predict every major pop and plunge in these major indexes with any consistency.

Our trading times are updated in the table below to reflect these changes as accurately as possible.
What's causing these swift declines in the major indexes? In part, some of the blame lies with concerns over a looming trade war. Recently announced tariffs on steel and aluminum are designed to directly hit China, which generates a substantial annual trade surplus from the United States. Wall Street and investors clearly fear the possibility of retaliatory tariffs, and thus slower global growth.

An individual dealing in the stock markets must be aware of the trading timing of commodity and agri commodity as well. The commodity  i.e. MCX is open from 10 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. Furthermore, the timings for the agri-commodity market is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both the markets operate from Monday to Friday, unless there is a public holiday.  Both remain closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Four times a year publicly-traded companies release treasure troves of valuable information in the form of quarterly reports.  Companies trading in the States are required to file 10-Qs with the US Securities and Exchange Commission by 40 calendar days after quarter-ends.  Canadian companies have similar requirements at 45 days.  In other countries with half-year reporting, many companies still partially report quarterly.
Soybeans: Soybeans play a critical role in the global food ecosystem. The oil from the crop is used in many products including bread, crackers, cakes, cookies and salad dressings, while the meal from crushed soybeans serves as the main source of food for livestock. Soybean oil also serves as a feedstock in the production of biofuels. The growing need for food and fuel in emerging market economies could drive demand for soybeans. Three countries – the United States, Brazil and Argentina – account for 80% of global production.
FINANCIAL MARKETS OVERVIEW FOR MONDAY: (11/19) The week before Thanksgiving is usually frustrating for traders. By late Monday, traders are disappearing and markets stay in useless ranges with pattern waiting to be completed. Dips on stocks will be bought for a Thanksgiving rally only to give it back early next week. Metals and crude look higher this week even if we have a Monday/Tuesday pullback here. T-notes could hold up an extra week but minimum target is close.
Since there are a glut of fundamental and technical indicators available – many of which conflict – which do you follow? In other words, how do you react when the employment rate is dropping, but stocks rise to new highs on increased earnings? Should you buy when stocks are well below historical price-to-earnings ratios despite high volume selling? For every report and survey suggesting one direction, there is usually a contradicting indicator that suggests the opposite.
*** Each market will close early at 1:00 p.m. (1:15 p.m. for eligible options) on Monday, December 24, 2018, Tuesday, December 24, 2019, and Thursday, December 24, 2020. Crossing Session orders will be accepted beginning at 1:00 p.m. for continuous executions until 1:30 p.m. on this date, and NYSE American Equities, NYSE Arca Equities, and NYSE National late trading sessions will close at 5:00 pm. Natural Gas: Natural gas is used in a variety of industrial, residential and commercial applications including electricity generation. It is considered a clean fossil fuel source and has garnered increasing demand from more countries and economic sectors. The United States and Russia have emerged as the leading producers of this important global commodity.
For example, if you spend $10,000 on stock in company A in a taxable account and it rises $5,000 within 6 months, then selling Company A immediately would incur a 28% tax on the $5,000 gain or $1,400 of tax. But if you waited until you’d held the stock for a year and moved into long term capital gains territory, then the tax is $750 because it’s taxed at the lower rate of 15%. Hence your tax cost falls materially by waiting to hold an investment for a year assuming the price of the stock stays the same. In this theoretical example you save $650, or 13%, of your paper profits.

Earlier last year, Diwali Muhurat trading was conducted on 18 October 2017. A volatile trading session was seen in the stock markets with BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty closing in negative territory. The benchmark Sensex closed at 32,389.96, down 194.39 points or 0.6 per cent whereas the broader share indicator Nifty settled 64.3 points or 0.63 per cent lower at 10,146.55.

The vast majority of cryptocurrencies take advantage of blockchain technology. In their most simple form they use cryptography to process transactions and create new coins, this process is usually performed by computers solving complex equations and is called mining. All processed transactions are stored on the blockchain which acts as a giant computerized ledger.
What separates commodities from other types of goods is that they are standardized and interchangeable with other goods of the same type. These features make commodities fungible. This means that two equivalent units of the same commodity should have mostly uniform prices any place in the world (* excluding local factors such as the cost of transportation and taxes).

But we can see that investors can be their own worst enemy - selling at the times of greatest panic, and potentially then missing out on subsequent gains. Basically, although you can look at a stock chart and imagine what you might do, your actual behavior may be quite different than you project due to the emotions of fear and greed. This can consume even the most well intentioned investor. Therefore, for many investors what appears to be rational market timing may actually be giving into the emotions of fear and greed, with unfortunate results. Of course, it is tempting to believe that you are a better investor than average, or at least better at keeping your emotions under control, but there is also substantial evidence that people are generally over confident about their own ability in many fields from driving safety to investing skill.
